As a seasoned traveler from California, I recently had the pleasure of staying at In-Town Guest Accommodation in York for a quick weekend getaway. the location, just a stone's throw away from the iconic York City Walls and York Minster, was absolutely unbeatable. It truly made exploring the historic city center a breeze. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the charming room with its large sash windows overlooking the picturesque Georgian houses on Gillygate. the room itself was cozy and inviting, complete with all the necessary amenities including free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, and even a kitchen in the ground floor double room I stayed in. One of the highlights of my visit was the efficient communication from the hosts, despite the property having no reception. Everything from check-in instructions to local recommendations for dining at Zills Tapas Restaurant was provided with ease through text messages. the attention to detail in the room, such as the Al-Fresco terrace and ceiling rose, truly made my stay memorable. Overall, In-Town Guest Accommodation exceeded my expectations in terms of location, comfort, and hospitality. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to any traveler looking for a unique and convenient place to stay in the heart of York. A big thank you to the hosts for making my visit so enjoyable!
